About This Spot

Stepping into Ray's Drive Inn feels like stepping back into a simpler time where the pace slows just enough to savor the small joys of a hometown meal. This Kokomo staple offers a comforting blend of nostalgia and community warmth, wrapped in the familiar hum of a classic American drive-in. The clink of plates and the easy chatter among regulars carry a reassuring steadiness, inviting you to settle in, relax, and share a moment away from the rush.

The atmosphere here is unpretentious and genuine—a welcoming pause where neighbors catch up over hearty plates, and service comes with a genuine smile that feels more personal than transactional. Whether you’re sliding into a booth or waiting for a to-go order, there’s a sense of consistency that soothes, a kind of place where stories are exchanged with sandwiches and kindness boosts the flavor.

At the heart of the experience is the food—rooted in comforting, well-loved American classics but with a local pride distinctly their own. The legendary tenderloin stands out not just for its size but for the homestyle care in preparation, inviting you to slow down and appreciate the imperfect beauty of a good, juicy bite. Alongside it, sides like golden onion and cheese fries or a bowl of creamy macaroni offer that familiar warmth, the kind that wraps around you like a cozy kitchen on a quiet afternoon.

Ray’s delivers more than just a meal; it invites you into a rhythm of shared moments, from the friendly banter over breakfast omelettes to the happy welcoming of pups with a treat of their own. It’s a place where food often tastes like comfort, and every visit feels like an invitation to belong.

Ray's Drive-In is by far one of the best places in town. I'm obsessed with their chicken and noodles. I just got some today because I've been feeling under the weather for the last week. And just a couple bites of it and I already started to feel better. I swear these chicken and noodles have saved my life a thousand times when I felt like crap.lol

My family and I came into town for a wedding reception. Stopped and got lunch and rays. The women who took our order was an absolute sweetheart. Got our pup a pupcup and took our order. Our food came out efficiently and hot. Couldn't of asked for better service

They do have the most tenderloin sandwich (bun for scale), my husband ate all around and up to the bun. Thatade a nice sandwich for a snack later. We do love these old times drive-ins.

We went for the big tenderloin. The tenderloin was really good can't say it was bad, but we felt that it lacked flavor. The tenderloin was tender and juicy. We also ordered a side of tater tots, which was extremely disappointing we may have got 12 in our order. And it cost over $4. Then we got pickle chips which was over $5 and there might have been 16 in that they both were a really big joke. We also got a patty melt, and it was really good very cheesy Burger done great just wish that they had taken more care in the onion it wasn't fully grilled. And they didn't bother to clean the outer skin so The Onion was a little rubbery. Service was very prompt very friendly and patient
